Scott Crosbie Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was founded in 2013 in memory of Scott Crosbie, beloved son of Past President and Woman of the Year, Heidi Crosbie. Scott had a passion for higher education and the sciences. He was working and earning his way to a Doctorate degree at UC Davis.
Requirements and qualifications:
Be pursuing a college degree or technical training certification in the areas of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Mental Health, or Veterinary Science
Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
Community Service/volunteer experience
Planning to attend a two (2) or four (4) year college or university, Vocational or Trade School in the upcoming academic year
Graduating high school senior
Must reside or attend school in Greater Sacramento (Sacramento, Placer, Yolo Counties)

Essay #1: Community service essay:
Active 20-30’s mission is “Providing young adults an opportunity for personal growth, friendships, and leadership development while improving the quality of life for the underserved children in our communities.”
Please describe how you have embodied this mission through your community service work. Please provide specific examples. What did others gain from your service? What did you gain from your service?
Essay #2: The Active 20-30 Club is comprised of members with a variety of educational backgrounds and careers. What are your college plans and career goals? What made you choose your major and what attributes do you have that would make you a great professional in your chosen field?
