Community Service Scholarship

Active 20-30 Club US & Canada
provides young adults an opportunity for personal growth, friendships, and
leadership development while improving the quality of life for the special
needs of
children in our community. Active 20
-30 Club of Greater Sacramento #1032 consists of women ages 21- 39 from the
Greater Sacramento area who volunteer their time to help children in the local
area through fundraising and hands-on
events. As part of that mission, we are pleased to announce our Community
Service Scholarship program to recognize high school senior women who have
excelled academically and are involved in community service.
Qualifications:
• Senior
female with 3.0 GPA or higher
• Community
Service/Volunteer experience
• Plan to
attend a community college or four year university
• Must reside
or attend school in Sacramento County
• At least
three scholarships will be awarded in 2013: one $1,000 scholarship and two $500
Applicants must fill out the attached application. In addition, applicants must submit an official copy of their high
school transcript, one letter of recommendation, and an essay that is no
longer than 2 pages (double spaced).
Applications must be postmarked by Friday, March 1,
2013, to Active 20-30 Club of Greater Sacramento #1032. Late, incomplete or
applications not meeting the minimum qualifications above will not be
considered. Applicants can expect a response by early April 2013.
