Hands-On Events
Youth, to be served, must serve
Active 20-30 encourages hand-on interaction with youth in our community. Active participation solidifies our relationships with those we serve, maintains motivation, and produces a degree of personal satisfaction.

This project was created to help disadvantaged children receive the clothes they need to return to school feeling confident and free of fashion worries. As you know, today's kids are trend conscious and fashion savvy, which makes back-to-school shopping financially challenging for many parents. Children's Shopping Spree is another way for Active 20-30 to join forces nationally and give back to our communities, helping both children and parents alike. Donations not only fund the shopping spree for the participating children, but Kmart and other participating department stores also contribute additional discounts, back packs and school supplies.
Christmas Promise
Christmas is always that special time of year when most people take the extra effort to help others. Active 20-30 teams with Christmas Promise to provide gifts, food and cheer anonymously to selected families whose circumstances have them at a disadvantage. The gifts and food are distributed on Christmas Eve by Santa Claus and his elves (more wonderful volunteers). The special families do not know Santa is coming and they don't know where he is from. Santa usually has to remind them that he is from the North Pole.

Focused Forward: Career Exploration Extravaganza
For our inaugural Career day event we teamed up with Twin Rivers school district and approximately 180 junior high school students. They attended training classes, as well as explored several career paths. We hope to make this an annual event supported by our club.
