Request for Applications
(updated 01/12/2011)

The Active 20-30 Club of Greater Sacramento #1032 is currently accepting applications from charities that wish to become beneficiaries for one of our two annual fundraising events. We are selecting beneficiaries for our annual Monte Carlo to be held in September or October 2011 and our annual Crab Feed, which will be held in February or March 2012. Proceeds from these events will be distributed in or around February 2012 and July 2012, respectively.

The Charity Research Committee will be reviewing the applications and selecting finalists in March. The finalists will be invited to present their charities to the Charity Research Committee on April 19, 2011. All applicants will be notified in writing by April 1, 2011 regarding whether or not they will be invited to present.

Our organization will choose major and minor beneficiaries for our two annual fundraising events. Charities may be eligible for “major” event beneficiary status if they have not been in the last two years, and/or not more than twice within the last ten years. If a charity has presented for the last two years, but failed to receive funding, then they shall become a priority for at least “minor” funding.

Our organization has funding guidelines based upon our bylaws which require we make charitable contributions that directly benefit children in the Sacramento region. Contributions cannot be used for indirect benefits such as administrative or personnel costs.

If you would like to apply for funding, please fill out the Charity Research Application to assist the Charity Research Committee in determining whether your organization meets our funding guidelines. Please complete the application and provide as much detailed information as possible regarding the nature of your request and how your contribution will directly affect local children. Precise and detailed information regarding your charity, the dollar amount requested, and how the requested monies are allocated will be helpful during the application review process.

Please submit your application by February 26, 2011. Charity Research Applications may be submitted electronically to charityresearch@sacwomens2030.org. If you need to mail your application, please contact us at the email address above, so we can assist you.

Our charity research occurs on an annual basis. If you missed the deadline above, please email us at charityresearch@sacwomens2030.org, so we can add your charity into the Club’s database for next year.
